Inspired by the silly inquiries of Any Austin1 and the concept of relational playworld 2 by Melos Han-Tani I figured I’m going to spend some more time in Alba, after I finished it for the second time. I just love hanging around on that cosy island. I mean, look at that view!

Inspired by an option in the settings, I tried to figure out if I could glitch Alba into the ground somewhere. Without much luck. Besides some funny collisions, not much happened.

Then I remembered that there is a part of the island that is locked away. It’s a beach behind the castle that is visible from up there and also drawn on the map. Trying to get there by walking around the island doesn’t offer any legal way to get there. Both sides of the hill cliff into the sea and, just to make sure, some rocks block passage as well.

After some trial and error, I found a way nonetheless! That got me quite excited. The starting point is on the small patch of beach below the Terraces. From there follow up through the agaves and cacti and try not to get too many scratches, or your grandparents will not be happy about your adventures.

Once you’ve gone through that, you can branch off to the top right and then slide down a jolly slope.

And finally, you’ve arrived at the pristine and calm beach behind the castle, where you’ll encounter nothing else than the shadow of a gull.

It’s an interesting experience to encounter this complete empty beach. And, it also raises some questions. Why is this place here? Did they want to add more content? Why did they have to go through all the trouble to lock it away? The castle would have some direct passages to the downwards slope, but there is an invisible barrier.

I do feel a bit like Any Austin now.
